Motown Monday on Radio Infomaniac

Radio Infomaniac is on the air!

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, from time to time, Mistress MJ will be spinning her favourite tunes from her own personal jukebox.

Bob Dylan declared Smokey Robinson "America's greatest living poet."

William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. (born February 19, 1940)

Here with Mistress MJ’s favourite Motown tune is Smokey Robinson and the Miracles performing their 1965 hit, "Ooo Baby Baby."

  1. From William smokey Robinson to William effing Hung. Oh how the world is turning to shite.

Where's Kylie, we need proper good quality pop music.

  2. This is most curious. Nobody but team 'Petra and myself here.

You reckon that Beastie is playing with his banana, XL OD'ed on Lamingtons and Princess is off quilting shoulder pads?

  4. I've got to go to work darlings!

She works hard for her money, by Donna Summer and 9 to 5 by Miss Dolly could be delightful additions to your station

  5. Oh god, your radio seems to be a bit of a flop darling. Sorry to say.

I do hope you'll recover eventually.

  7. Pete, do be quiet.

I love Smokey Robinson. I'm a huge fan of Motown and soul music.

I was watching Criminal Minds season 4 with Boy, if you must know.

    Mistress, ignore him.

  8. Morning ... already in the trenches, Pete?
Very cool, dear Mistress! "Oooh Baby Baby" is fitting for many occasions.

(And thankfully videos that work without any fuzz, youtube should take this as example!)

  9. PETRA: Oh god, your radio seems to be a bit of a flop darling. Sorry to say.

If you recall, in my previous post I stated, "These posts are primarily for the entertainment of Mistress MJ and serve as a permanent record of faves (YouTube and Blogger willing, that is…ha!) But if you wish to stay and enjoy, that’s icing on the CAKE!"

Perhaps I’ll turn off the comments on the next Radio Infomaniac broadcast.

Or post a giant DISCLAIMER with every broadcast.

SCARLET: *Slaps Pete around the head and cancels his appointment at the beauty parlour to have his bunions removed*

You canceled his bunion removal appointment?

That will free up an entire day for you!

    ROSES: Pete, do be quiet.

    Ooops, too late.

Petra’s on a sugar high and his bunions are killing him.

I’m hoping we don’t see the “this video is no longer available” notice as often as we do on YouTube either.

  10. Oh, and tell Miss Petra there will be no Kylie.

  11. XL: Will there be CANCON?

There will…but not because the regulations say so.

Oh how I love breaking the rules!

He’s gone for now but strangely, the echoes of his high heels still click in my ears.

  14. Oh hello bitches! I am back!

I wasn't so much attacking the music as much as stating that people were not here. Which is odd as usually there's lots of comments once I arrive.

That is all. You may now resume bitching about me as I shall be gone the rest of the day.

  15. Smokey is still looking good at 71. He was at the White House last month for Black History Month and the celebration of Motown.

May I share dance with you MJ?

  16. Oh, hello bitches.

    I'm off dancing with Hayward.

“Combine Harvester” is the only Wurzel ditty that comes to mind but I haven’t looked into their complete oeuvre.
