  4. Not a good idea to put a turntable on a bed. Needs a flat, stable surface.

Yes, I'm ready for the weekend. I'm in the pink, fluffy dressing gown drinking coffee. Soon, I will be ready for anything...or more coffee.

  13. This photograph reminds me of when my eldest, Timmy would have his friend Sheldon for sleepovers. Oh the times we had. Forgive me for being maudlin, it is just that Timmy ran away some time ago, and young Sheldon is getting married today.

    What more is there?

KABUKI ZERO: You just know they are playing that wicked Rock n Roll. No good will come of this, just wait and see.

    The Devil’s music.

They’ll be speaking in tongues, clutching serpents, and rolling in the aisles next.

    MAGO: Not yet, but soon.
    A weekend in the sun!

    Sonnenschein!

ROSES: Not a good idea to put a turntable on a bed. Needs a flat, stable surface.

You’re the epitome of glamour, Miss Roses.

    SCARLET: NO!!! MAKE IT STOP...

    The weekend?

    Or the rampant blowdrying?

    BITTER69UK: Welcome to Infomaniac!

Now that definitely looks like my idea of a fun weekend.

Could these two fun-lovin’ fellas be on their way to Cockabilly?

    *cues Wanda Jackson*

WALLY: I'm ready for it but is it ready for me?

None of us are ready for you … but there you are and we’re glad OF it!

SAVANNAH: it's saturday? now? really? shit! dammit, sugar, wtf is going on? *sigh*

FYI…we’re just hours away from Sunday now.

TB: I love slumber parties; I bet that they're going to sit around and talk about boys. Probably try on each others's jock straps too.

    Boys will be boys.

NORMADESMOND: hope they're using some sort of protection.....from the damaging heat of the blow dryer.

Offer to give them a penetrating deep heat treatment to repair any damage that may arise.

    DEEP BLUE: Act II, please!

    Listening for Satanic messages?

DAMIEN: When you did you sneek into my boudoir Mistress?

I just followed the trail of men’s pants to your door.

BOXER: picked up a fresh bottle last night on my way home!

    I’ll drink to that!

MRS. BONITA PANSKI-DIXON: This photograph reminds me of when my eldest, Timmy would have his friend Sheldon for sleepovers. Oh the times we had. Forgive me for being maudlin, it is just that Timmy ran away some time ago, and young Sheldon is getting married today.

Will you be playing the harp at his wedding, by any chance?

  15. I returned momentarily only to be presented with this shocking spectacle... have you SEEN the tan lines on that poor man's legs?! I ask you. It's just too much, really too much.

    He fancies midway boxer briefs.

Is this only a flash-in-the-pan visit or are you back?

  17. If I'm not fully back now, I will be in a couple of weeks. Hiatusing takes a lot out of a girl.

  18. I prefer matching woods in home decor...

In your absence, I’ve been OD-ing on Jean Gabin films.

I look forward to seeing your face here again soon.

MICHAEL GUY: I prefer matching woods in home decor...

How can I take home décor advice from you after your 80s “English Country” period confession?

  20. I caught La Bandera on Jean Gabin day on TCM recently and am now hooked. Who knew he was so great?

Marlene Dietrich apparently was obsessed with him, too.

Don’t mention Le Dietrich…it will excite Infomaniac Bitch LX who, in turn, is obsessed with Marlene.

  22. Jean Gabin was a great actor and fantastically sexy in the 30s and 40s. No one managed to look more butch while wearing a beret! Try to see his films Le Jour Se Leve and Pepe le Moko. He and Dietrich were a hot, volatile couple. She always claimed he was the great love of her life. (They made one film in France together in the Forties, but it's meant to be awful). If you go to the cinema museum in Berlin (it holds the Dietrich collection), you can see Gabin and Dietrich's private home movies of them on holiday together, and read their love letters, etc.

I missed out on Le Jour Se Leve but had the pleasure of viewing Pepe le Moko.

The Berlin Museum of Film and Television is yet another great reason to visit Berlin!

  24. Two more great Gabin films: Le Quai des Brumes (1938) and Remorques (1941), both of whom partner him beautifully with Michèle Morgan. If you're a Dietrich fan, the museum is like dying and going to heaven. And right next door is the excellent little Billy Wilder Bar for cocktails!

    Billy Wilder Bar?

I’m making you my go-to guy should I one day finally get to Berlin.
