Let it Snow

Phoebe Snow, that is...

Released as a single in late 1974, "Poetry Man" became Snow's first charting hit.

Why are we playing this now, here on Infomaniac? Because we could use a break from Christmas carols. And we could all use a gentle time-out from all the madness of 2016, if only for these next few minutes...

  1. What??? No dick???Next, you'll be posting photos of drunk and drugged out corgis from Norma. Trying to collect money to treat addicted animals but really to only enlarge your gin-cuzzi.
You must have a xmess soft spot. Happy days MJ. Remember, you have Justin and we have 'The Donald'.

  3. Definitely a brake on christmas carols. If I have to endure Rea's Driving home ... one more time I can not guarantee for the decency of my behaviour any more.

What a nice song, versponnen und träumerisch : Der muss ein glücklicher Mensch sein, der gemeint ist.

Don't let the madness affect you, dear Mistress, it is man-made, hence temporarily, void & vane. In the end remain silence, beauty and love.
    (And cats.)

    1. MR. DeVICE: It’s not surprising that you haven’t heard of Phoebe Snow.

Her daughter was born in 1975 with severe brain damage, shortly after Snow’s career got off the ground. Rather than institutionalize her daughter, Snow decided to stay at home with her until her daughter’s death in 2007; a decision that nearly ended her career.

Just three years after her daughter’s death, Snow suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died, age 60.

Her music lives on whenever we post a clip or play her songs at home.

    2. Oh, how sad. Still, her music certainly is living on here - I've listened to Poetry Man at least six of seven times today!
