Happy St. George’s Day

Happy St. George’s Day to all our Infomaniac Bitches in England!

Cake, anyone?...

Let the Morris Dancing begin…

Our dear KAZ once said…

We have a well known saying in England - "You should try everything in life at least once - with the possible exception of incest and Morris dancing."

We here at Infomaniac are curious as to whether any of you (whatever your nationality) have actually had a go at Morris Dancing.

Or, for that matter, if any of you have ever actually done anything to celebrate England’s (apparently forgotten) patron saint.

  1. I've never done Morris dancing, but I've done a Morris... & I always think of St. George whenever I am slaying a dragon....
Though, it's been a little while since I've had one to slay....

  2. gosh... who would have thunk that England had a patron saint...

No Morris Dancing here, the Empress used to drive a Morris Minor but I don't recall her dancing with it...

  3. I certainly have never done either. I am a Lady, I do a Lady things. Although I understand both of my brothers also have large peenees. It runs in our family.

  4. One of the most vile people I know is a huge Morris dancing fanatic. It has sadly colored my opinion of all things Morris.

  6. Fuck the Morris dancing. I'd much rather read about incest stories.

  7. I didn't know it was St Georges Day... we have enough to think about, what with the wedding and everything.
Alas, I have never jigged round a Maypole, but I have partaken of some country dancing at a village fair. I was particularly good at the German slap dance.

  8. "German slap dance"? Der heilige Georg ... I think it's not too late to check for tickets in Furth im Wald for the Drachenstich. They have a new dragon for some years. St.George is one of the 14 Nothelfer.
I have no idea about Morris and his dancing - is it something like Matratzen-Tango?

Is there a patron saint of Australia?

PEENEE: I certainly have never done either. I am a Lady, I do a Lady things. Although I understand both of my brothers also have large peenees. It runs in our family.

Having seen your feet, I won’t argue with your peenee size.

Is that him in the pink frock?

Ah yes, the maypole (nudge nudge wink wink).

MITZI: Fuck the Morris dancing. I'd much rather read about incest stories.

How about that Slater family on EastEnders?

I’m sure The Street has never stooped that low.

Oh wait a minute…I’ve forgotten the Jason and Julie romp.

SCARLET: I didn't know it was St Georges Day... we have enough to think about, what with the wedding and everything.

And you call yourself an Englishwoman?

    Which German did you slap?

    Was it Mago?

On which part of his body?

MAGO: "German slap dance"? Der heilige Georg ... I think it's not too late to check for tickets in Furth im Wald for the Drachenstich. They have a new dragon for some years. St.George is one of the 14 Nothelfer.

Could Miss Scarlet be referring to the Schuhplatter?

The Drachenstich looks like quite the melodrama!

Here’s a video clip of some Morris Dancers in Oxford, England.

Morris Dancing lacks the thigh-slapping excitement of the Schuhplatter.

Mary looks like she wears sensible shoes.

If I’m to have a patron saint, I want her in Louboutins.

    NORMADESMOND: tinkerbell's attractive.

I’ll bet you say that to anyone sporting a big stick.

  16. XL: Willie Nelson is the patron saint of Texas!

    Not Saint Joan of Crawford?

  17. The Texan anthem is something with "one over the line Sweet Jesas" sung by Nelson. I did not quite understand.

  18. MAGO & XL: Discuss this amongst yourselves.

  19. The Patron Saint of Franconia is Kilian. He's Irish, carries a sword and a big stick.

  20. XL has forgotten the true patron saint of Texas "Big Tex" from the State Fair. He really does fill out his jeans.

I’ll bet he has a bottle of Irish whiskey under those robes.

I was going to ask why he has a marionette mouth when I discovered that he talks!
