Public Service Announcement #27

Please do not drive distracted.

In other words, no phoning, texting or checking your emails...

[via]

No applying makeup or curling your eyelashes...

[via]

And no obstructing the steering wheel...

Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel

This has been an Infomaniac Public Service Announcement.

  1. I dread to think what the police would think if they stopped me now and saw what I am typing...

    1. As a pedestrian, Mistress MJ has had numerous close-calls by drivers on their phones.

When they realized they'd almost hit me, some of them looked shocked and horrified but most of them just smile as if to say, "Oops, well, have a nice day."

  3. I often get distracted in the summer months when the young men walk around wearing next to nothing, with their hands down their shorts, fiddling. I've even mounted the kerb on a few occasions.

    1. Just the kerb, dear? Jx

    2. I misread "kerb" as "kabob."

  4. Uh oh. I'm guilty of all three of these infractions at the same time while working out of my car. Sometimes I get confused and curl a tricks pubic hair and get lipstick all over his dick.

  6. Well, I'm a standin' on a corner
    In Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
    It's a girl my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me

    Fantasy. Sorry.

  7. While Mistress MJ is on her soapbox, here are two distracted driving tales:

Read about this woman as a cautionary tale.

She was driving to work when the “Happy” song spurred her to pull out her Smartphone and take a few “selfies”and share her feelings on Facebook.

She crashed her car and died.

And in the “some people never learn” category, meet Canada’s most distracted driver.

He’s racked up 26 distracted driving tickets and more than $4,300 in fines since 2010.

    1. certainly a sad story, but....could technology
be nature's way of thinning the herd?

    2. Right you are, Norma. Survival of the fittest. And not just regarding technology.

As an example, just this morning I watched a woman cross the street despite the red light and a car approaching. Thankfully, the driver was alert but that pedestrian's days are numbered if she continues on like that.

      People are idiots.

Obviously, I am in a mood.

    4. heard today on the radio:

woman calls in to complain that she was given a $108 ticket because she put her year sticker on the wrong side of her license plate.

here, the month is imprinted on the plate, on the left side. the right side is for the "year sticker." this einstein took her year sticker & covered the month!

will the fine make her smarter?
