Following the previous post in which we discussed our animal friends sharing our beds...

... we now turn our attention to a line of feline furniture from Japan. The pieces consist of scaled-down, miniature versions of human-sized furniture...
More to see here....
And closer to home...
Your cat or dog can now have his/her own bed thanks to a new line of pet furniture from IKEA...
Although try telling that to Norma's baby...
Or LX's Lola and Nikko...

I was recently on a house tour where the owners had a small replica of their four poster bed made for their dog, and yet it was filled with pussy. I'm sure if my Buster saw it, he'd want his own and still be in mine.
ReplyDeleteThis gives me the idea Mistress, you should next host a Pets in Bed with Bitches Exhibit.
MISTRESS MADDIE: If you all had female dogs, it could be the “Bitches in Bed With Bitches Exhibit.”
DeletePet furniture is a nice idea, but I think we all now that human furniture is a lot more enticing to our furry fiends.
ReplyDeleteI mean, "friends"...
We all Know. Know.
Deletesigh...
MR. DeVICE: Your photos are FURther proof that human furniture is the preferred choice for our furry friends.
DeleteThe pet furniture would be wasted money on my two. They prefer the real thing. Over at Ex's, Nikko will, on very rare occasion, sleep on the furry cat bed provided there.
ReplyDeleteDo Lola & Nikko wake you up in the morning? Particularly TOO early?
DeleteI had a cat who would toss items off my dresser onto the floor, to wake me up. Or tap my face. Or jump onto my chest. The list goes on.
They will allow me a little slack if I oversleep breakfast time (about 30 minute grace period). Then they swarm the bed until I get going. RJ would give me a good slap if room service was late.
DeleteThey who must be obeyed.
DeleteNow I'm curious. Does the Ikea monkey sleep in a bed or does Ikea provide a hammock? A fake tree to sleep in?
ReplyDeletePet furniture looks suspiciously like toddler furniture. In my experience, cats prefer windowsills, rails, and sunny spaces, while dogs like to be close to people or access to food, i.e. the kitchen.
I'd be grateful if they didn't shed so much on those surfaces where fur really sticks! But that's a small price we gladly pay for their companionship and friendship.
EROS: Darwin, the IKEA Monkey now lives at a primate sanctuary and has his own Facebook page (of course.) Not sure of his sleeping arrangements.
DeleteAs for the pet hair problem, try one of these pet hair removal tools.
Corgis lounge on whatever they want, whenever they want. Doggie sized furniture? Sure, they'll do that too!
ReplyDeleteNORMA: Corgis rule.
DeleteMy cat has several beds spread all over the house, plus wherever my lap happens to be. He's a gypsy.
ReplyDeletePEENEE: Saki is a Gypsy and he is King. Gypsy King.
DeleteNo way. A straw sack has to do. Perhaps an old coat in winter.
ReplyDeleteMAGO: They often prefer these sorts of things over any fancy store-bought item.
