The Dicks of '76

We know that that after working on the Carol Burnett Show, actor Lyle Waggoner went on to play the role of Steve Trevor on the TV series Wonder Woman. Now, at age 77, Lyle is a sculptor living in Wyoming and runs the largest supplier of studio location rental trailers in the entertainment industry.

And former teen idol Fabian, age 70, lives in southwestern Pennsylvania and is active in charity work...

But whatever happened to some of the other Playgirl models of 1976?

We here at Infomaniac turn it over to our knowledgeable readers to find the answers.

CARLOS SOARES...

GARY EARLE...

JIM LAMPIER...

But if you want to know how I really feel
    Get the cameras rollin'
    Just get the action goin'
Baby, you know my love for you is real
So take me where you want to
Me and my heart you steal

  8. They all look very good for men in the seventies. I try to draw a veil over UK men in the seventies... it's not pretty.

  12. I believe that Rock Pamplin has also passed away - in the 1990s. Lyle Waggoner turned up on the Today Show in 1996 when his son Jason and Jason's fiancee were chosen as the couple to get married on Today Throws a Wedding - a segment that they have since stopped doing. As I recall back then, Lyle in 2006 was still looking good.

    1. COOKIE: Thanks for the update.

I don’t know when this photo of Rock Pamplin was taken but it’s certainly years after the Playgirl shoot.

And click here to see a photo of Lyle Waggoner’s son Jason and his bride, Molly. A chip off the old block?

  14. IMDB says Lyle left the CB Show in early '74 but Wonder Woman didn't start until the fall of '75; so I wonder why he left Burnett? Always loved that the CB show managed to get him in nothing but a skimpy, tighty-whitey towel for some dumb sketch, too bad on Wonder Woman they smothered him in a military uniform. Like anyone was ever gonna watch him for acting abilities.
