Oh no. I've got blackberries with their thorns just waiting for me out there. Also, first.
Not me! (I don't have hollyhocks.)
Sometimes, a good bush trimming is necessary to highlight the beauty of a flower.
And sometimes a strategically held handful of weeds can obscure an unruly bush.
I have been planning! As the sun's out and the UK (or, at least Norfolk) is basking in temperatures of 20 degrees(!!!), I have been preparing a rockery next to the pond, and I'm about to sort out the hanging baskets and window boxes.
And as we know, Norma's already begun airing it out. Let us hope she trimmed that bush back by now.
I've been gardening, certainly, but not with my nadgers out! Too many biting midges; something might swell up... Jx
Mature gardens can go to seed quite quickly if not attended to on a regular basis.

Still too cold to go naked. I am yet to remove the thermal vest.Sx
