  1. Well first off, I adore a gal who can garden in heels.......brava Scarlett. I have never seen such fine green. This calls for rounds of champagne spritzer. Now excuse me while a go change for the next entry.....

    1. It's the constant rain that makes it so green. Everything goes green... tiles, paving slabs, flowers... anything that should be white. It's like living in an aquarium.

  9. What can I say ? A lush lawn, bushes and trees - gardening with nature, not going against her. Mother Nature has the final word, a paradise for water- and murk-resistant plants, pleasant to the eyes, ideal for some watercolours. Carry on, dearest Scarlet, may your thermovest stay dry !

    1. Apologies for my absence... the sun is out today! Yay!! I wouldn't dream of fighting nature.. I would lose... plus nature is faster than me.

  10. How very spacious! Loads of room for all the British Weather to mask and moisten.
Speaking of which, I think your murk may be headed my way - Norfolk has basked in sunshine and 20 degree unpleasantness. A terrible state of affairs at this time of year. Bring on the murk!

  11. The murk is here, too - albeit with a far less prepossessing view behind it. All we have is the end house of the perpendicular terrace to look at... Jx

PS Green is very "in" in Devon.

    1. I do get tired of the verdant hue, Jon. Sometimes I hanker after a pavement... and a lamp post... or a shop.

  12. Even on a cloudy, wet day, your lawn and plants look lush and healthy. I like the spots of color on the bushes and flowers. I don't mind the murk one bit. Mists are magical in the right light.

Any sightings of the famous Dartmoor ponies? Spectral hounds or werewolves?

    1. Mr Swings - I have seen Dartmoor ponies, they don't stray this far, but when I've been to Dartmoor I've seen them and they are lovely. Obviously the spectral hounds and werewolves live in my attic.
