Super Dickmanns

Back in 2009, we here at Infomaniac posed the question, "What is the biggest object you’ve ever fit into your mouth?" See post here. We also asked, "What is the greatest number of similar objects (e.g. gumballs or marshmallows) that you’ve fit into your mouth at once?"

This person makes a nice try by putting her fist into her mouth but she pales in comparison to our friend, Mago.

Infomaniac Bitch, Mago claimed he can fit THREE Super Dickmann's into his mouth at once!

And so we wondered, "What are Super Dickmann's?"

Super Dickmann's are a popular German chocolate confectionery with a white, foamy filling. They're also known as chocolate foam kisses. As you can see, they are quite big...

Super Dickmann's motto: "Man, they are Dickmann!"

If you can't handle Super Dickmann's, try the smaller mini Dickmann's...

Mini Dickmann's are also known as Schoko Strolche. I'm not sure of the English translation but here's my guess. Schoko is an abbreviation for chocolate. However, Strolche appears to have the following meanings: hoodlum, tramp, vagabond, thug, rascal. What exactly are they trying to tell us?

And for those of you who like THICK NUTS, try Super Dickmann's Dicke Nüsse (literal translation: Thick Nuts.) ...

With so much chocolately goodness to choose from, is it any wonder you want to stuff them into your mouth?

Guten Appetit, Bitches!

German Cuisine

Germany is known for its quality beer, delicious sausages, and mouth-watering Apfelstrudel.

But have you sampled the other side of German cuisine? Behold. German cocktail weenies and Cheese Crack...

But just when we thought it couldn't get any wurst worse, Infomaniac presents "Tote Oma"...

Translated into English as "DEAD GRANDMA," Tote Oma consists of minced blood sausage fried with onions and bacon (recipe may vary according to regional preferences.) This dish is also known as “Verkehrsunfall” or "TRAFFIC ACCIDENT."

Guten Appetit!

Here we see either Mago or Von LX (who can be sure from that distance?), somewhere in Germany, shopping for cheese (Käse) and sausages (Wurst)…

Currywurst

Currywurst is Germany’s favourite fast food. It consists of fried sausage cut into pieces, sprinkled with curry powder and covered in ketchup.

Currywurst is sold at snack bars called Imbiss. It’s often served with fries (pommes) or bread rolls (brötchen or schrippe) and washed down with beer.

If you make your own currywurst at home, you can purchase ‘curry ketchup’ to season it.

Currywurst enthusiasts look forward to Fall 2006 when the Currywurst Museum opens its doors in Berlin.

Currywurst is the stuff of popular culture. German pop star Herbert Groenemeyer wrote a song about it. Listen to a 30 second sound bite on Amazon.de
(scroll down to ‘sound samples und downloads.’)

Filmmaker Grace Lee is obsessed with currywurst. Join her as she explores the currywurst stands of Berlin in her documentary, Best of the Wurst.

Guten Appetit!
