The 10th Annual Garden Photos Event
The TENTH Annual Garden Photos Event has begun! Formerly hosted here on Infomaniac, the capable and green-thumbed Mr. DeVice is now "the host with the most" of this popular event.
Click here for the first submission which just happens to be The Mistress's gigantic sunflower.
Although these sunflowers bear a striking resemblance to The Mistress's sunflowers, they are not, in fact, The Mistress's sunflowers. Nor is that The Mistress.

Got Houseplants?
In the last post, I asked you to send me your garden photos for the Eighth Annual Infomaniac Garden Photos Event. So far, I've received entries from several of you Bitches.
This message, then, is for the Mr. Peenees of this world who said, "Since the people who bought my house insisted the yard come with it, I will not be able to compete this year."
If you don't have a garden, send me a photo of your houseplant(s). Or the floral arrangement on your dining room table. Or tie a bow around that stalk of celery in your fridge.
I do, however, draw the line at this sort of thing...

Mistress Maddie's Garden Photos / Happy Birthday!
Our final entry in the Seventh Annual Infomaniac Garden Photos Event is from Mistress Maddie in Pennsylvania.
This is how I picture Mistress Maddie's garden...
Let's allow Mistress Maddie to tell us about it...
Since I only have potted plants at the Casa du Borghese, read that as small bijoux living, I thought I would send in some from the ancestral home where the Mother lives just West of the Casa.
The place is pretty much surrounded by her favorite blooms.... roses.
When I go home I'll take a few houseboys to prune and tend to the blooms, as I fear taking a prick the wrong way. This years weather did well with them and they seemed to be blooming almost constant.
I also fixed up her little courtyard for her, with a few flowers displayed in unique ways, my visual display came in handy. The houseboys helped me handle placing the wood items. Gave the mother a nice little nook to relax in. One just had to watch. With such tiny space and plant coverage, anything could pop out at a moments notice.

Mr. DeVice's Garden Photos
Our next entry in the Seventh Annual Infomaniac Garden Photos Event is from Mr. DeVice in the county of Norfolk, England...
I do apologise for leaving my garden photo submission to the last minute. You see, the plant life in the gardens of my new abode - Chateau DeVice - is very willful and somewhat homicidal (homocidal? witchicidal?), so I had to be very careful and take photos while they were "resting" (i.e. sated on passers by).
I hope you enjoy this Triptych of Triffids - seen here looming over the Chateau.
No need to spare a thought as to my well-being - I managed to escape with only minor gouging and an insignificant rash. Oh, and the medical witch says I should have the sight back in my right eye within a day or two. If it can be recovered quickly enough from the undergrowth.
P. S. I don't know why the first Triffid is wearing a scarf - it's not that cold here yet?...

British Jon's Garden Photos

It's been another delightful summer in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers - and, up until mid-July, a hot one too. We also benefited from a particularly mild spring here in London, which meant that all our bulbs and herbaceous plants were off to a very early start, and with the balmy air of May and June everything rocketed to put on some impressive growth.
Our fennel reached eight feet tall, the Rosa "Veilchenblau" grown from a cutting produced almost 20 sprays of flowers, the Nicotiana mutabilis was already six feet tall in April (and its progeny are even taller, and still flowering beautifully in September), and from Kniphofia to delphiniums to lilies to dahlias to salvias, the flowers have all been bigger and better than ever (despite the bloody Fuchsia gall mites!).
I have struggled to whittle down the photos to a manageable few, but here is a selection over three seasons:

Revisiting Huggy Jon's Garden
Have you Bitches noticed an empty seat in the house?...
That's because our friend, Huggy Jon (aka Deep Blue) of Montréal, Québec has been absent due to a serious illness.
In tribute to Huggy Jon, we here at Infomaniac revisit his floral offerings to 2013's Annual Infomaniac Garden Photos Event.
"Voici notre petit jardin de balcon."
(Here is our little balcony garden.)
"Way on the top of the first photo you can see a few cosmos; then the big yellow ones are some kind of coreopsis but I'm not sure exactly; then the petunias (light purple) and the big red one is a Pelargonium. I don't know what are the small yellow ones among the petunias."...
"Here you have some calibrachoa (red), verbena (blue) and tagetes (yellow)"...
"On the back balcony, voici des chrysanthemum, pelargoniums et verbena pour cacher la poubelle" (to hide the garbage can)....
