Cale was the soundtrack to many of Mistress MJ's most memorable moments. "Magnolia" was one of them...

    1. Mistress MJ had the pleasure of seeing him in a small venue.

      Thankfully, his music lives on.

  4. I'd never heard of JJ Cale until today, but I can hear why the Mistress loved his music. That Magnolia is so beautiful!

    1. MR. DeVICE: The reason you never heard of him over there across The Pond is that he wasn’t interested in becoming famous.

He said, "Send me the money and let the younger guys have the fame."

So big names like Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana covered his songs and made the SONGS famous, but not the MAN famous.

As he said, “my songs are way more famous than I am.”

He had no desire to be a big star. He lived in an Airstream trailer and didn’t have a telephone.

  5. "Cocaine" is one of my favorite all time songs, especially Cale's version of his own song.
