Have you been out of touch with friends and relatives because you're too busy or life just got in the way? Contact them NOW before it's too late.
The Mistress lost two old friends recently; both middle-aged people who still had a lot to live and a lot to give. Unfortunately, I hadn't been in touch with either of them for over a year because I was too caught up in work and other activities. And basically, I was just too tired at the end of the day to do all the things I wanted to do.
One of my friends took his own life after a losing battle with depression. So if you have a loved one who suffers from depression, please strongly encourage them to get the help they need by contacting a doctor or mental health counselor.
I'm very busy during the next two weeks with work and house guests. But I'm also making an effort to contact old friends with whom I've lost touch. I encourage you Bitches to do the same. Before it's too late.
Note: A more upbeat post to come as soon as possible.

Thank you for the reminder, Mistress, and I feel for your loss. I've very recently been in touch with a good friend who lost her dad, and this has reminded me that she sent a text that I've yet to reply to! I'm going to get to that now.
ReplyDeleteMR. DeVICE: Good man. If only I’d done the same.
DeleteCondolences for the loss of your friend.
ReplyDeleteLX: Thank you.
Deleteyes, so sorry about your losses. that's the marvelous thing about living...someone else will surely die.
ReplyDeletei see life as a long, dark tunnel.
Deletei can't help it, it's part of my DNA.
NORMA: That reminds me… knowing your penchant for unusual obits, I have one to send to you.
DeleteI'm sorry about your friend. And, yes, you're right. We should not let connections break.
ReplyDeleteDINAHMOW: Thank you. Let my mistakes be a reminder to you.
DeleteYou're not exactly having the best of summers, my dear. Condolences. Jx
ReplyDeleteJON: Into every life, a little rain must fall. But they didn’t say anything about a downpour.
Delete'Make new friends, but keep the old, the new ones are silver, the old ones are gold.' Isn't that a lovely sentiment? I read that in a card.
ReplyDeleteMITZI: I know this song by heart as we sang it as children in school.
DeleteI’ll spare you the YouTube clip.
Vomit inducing!
DeleteAfter watching the YouTube clip of the above mentioned song, a little acid from my stomach crept up to my throat and now it's burning like hell. I just thought I'd share that with you.
MITZI: Imagine the bile induced from YEARS of having it stuck in your head.
DeleteSweetie, you don't have to worry about an upbeat post, we all know it's hard to have a friend die. To have two go out in rapid order just sucks more. I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss. Thank you for reminding us of what's important in life: The people who make our lives better.
ReplyDeleteRecently, I experienced a loss--they seem to happen a lot more frequently now as time goes by. But they never get any easier. I found some new words of wisdom that have given me comfort. I hope they do the same for you:
Eskimo Legend:
Perhaps they are not the stars,
But rather openings in heaven where
The love of our lost ones pours through
And shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
EROS: Your average physicist might disagree with that legend but I’m running with it.
DeleteTis a grim ol' year.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss.
Sx
Miss Scarlet: Thank you. Fortunately, 2016 has also brought some highlights but you'd never know it by my doom and gloom reportage.
DeleteIn keeping with the spirit of this post, I am happy to report back for permanent duty as the Infomaniac Slave.
ReplyDeleteMy deepest apologies for being absent My Mistress. Moving countries and family have kept me busy.
I also offer my deepest condolences and blessings on all your losses.
PS Mistress, new blog....
