In her newly published memoir, Grace Jones bares all, including picking up men with Jerry Hall and smoking joints with Marianne Faithfull...

Sorry, No Uggs

A coffee shop in London, England has raised controversy with this sign...

We here at Infomaniac applaud their decision to ban ugly footwear and encourage them to do the same with Crocs.

Is there anything else you'd like to see banned from coffee shops?

How Far Would YOU Go?

It appears that Starbucks and Tim Hortons in Canada May Not Actually Be Recycling Their Coffee Cups ,as they claim to have been doing.

An investigation revealed that many paper cups collected by some Canadian Starbucks and Tim Hortons coffee shops for recycling are being sent to landfill, not to a recycling plant, as we were led to believe.

[via]

This is reason to continue to bring a reusable cup with you when you order take-out coffee and wish to do your part for the environment.

But how far would YOU go to help protect the environment?

An American man vowed to live trash-free for a year. He had to change his way of life and he had to get creative but the experiment was a success.

For example, he tried to think ahead. He carried a fork, a spoon, a plate and a bowl everywhere he went, just in case an event served food but provided only plastic cutlery to eat with.

He was living at the time of the experiment in Ann Arbor, Michigan; one of America’s most environmentally conscious cites. He could purchase most of his food unpackaged, and there were several great secondhand stores if he really needed something — "shops where the shoes didn’t come in boxes and the tools weren’t wrapped in protective plastic casing."

Kudos to him. The Mistress applauds his efforts. What began as a one-year experiment ultimately lasted two and a half years. But here's where The Mistress would personally draw the line...

Five months into the experiment, after some initial reservations, he gave up toilet paper. He chose to use only water and his hand to clean up after he'd done "his business."

Could YOU go this far?

Public Service Announcement #29

Approximately 1,600 people die annually from falling down the stairs, according to data from the Center for Disease Control's National Center for Health Statistics in the U.S.A.

[via]

Unless you are the Prime Minister of Canada and enjoy falling down stairs as a party trick...

... then please exercise caution when using the stairs.

Here are some tips for staircase safety:
  • Never run up or down stairs.
  • Use the handrail!!!
  • Never text or check your phone while using stairs.
  • Attempting to take selfies on staircases can be fatal.
  • Stairs should be well lit and clear of clutter.
  • Only take one step at a time.
  • Get help if you have to carry something up or down stairs.
  • If the steps are located outside, be extremely careful if it is raining or snowing.
  • And finally, if you live in Montréal and your stairs look like this...

  • ... don't even think about leaving the house.
This has been an Infomaniac Public Service Announcement.

Scrotum Selfies

Bitches, drop your trousers!

No, I'm not asking you for Pics of Your Pricks again. Although that was fun, wasn't it? Happy memories, here on Infomaniac.

This time, we're asking you to indulge in a bit of Nutscaping: the practice of photographing your testicles against a scenic background. Visit Nutscapes to see more photos like this, and to submit a pic of your own...

If it's not on the Internet, does it exist?

Were you born before 1985? Then you're a digital immigrant, i.e. the last generation that will remember the world before the Internet. And THIS is how you found information...

If it's not on the Internet, does it exist?

I Googled an old gay bar (it's now a vacant lot) that I frequented as a young Mistress, only to find absolutely no mention of the bar on the Internet.

Surely this drinking establishment wasn't a figment of my imagination? Surely I wasn't drunk ALL the time during my misspent youth?

Fortunately, I was able to confirm the bar's existence by visiting The Archives in my city. Yes, The Archives...a physical bricks and mortar edifice containing public records and other historical documents.

Not only did I find the bar listed in an old city directory, I also found old newspaper ads on microfilm, announcing events at the bar.

So I wasn't imagining the place after all. It existed. But not on the Internet.

It's not the first time I've searched online for something that happened before 1991, only to find nothing at all on the Internet. Not one link. Not one scrap of information. In fact, there have been countless times I've searched in vain for events that apparently never happened or people or things that apparently never existed.

A reminder that not everything is on the Internet. You may have to visit a library or Archives to find what you're looking for.

Over to you now, Bitches. Have you found everything you were looking for on the Internet? Is there something you couldn't find online?

May-December Romance

This TV commercial has been getting a lot of play here in Canada...

The ad campaign slogan, “Mets de la crème” means "Add cream."

The lyrics by the band Les Trois Accords are in French but essentially all you need to know is the title, "J'aime ta grand-mère," which translates as "I'm in love with your grandmother."

A young man falls under the spell of his girlfriend's grandmother, thanks to her gran's mouth-watering, cream-based recipes.

We here at Infomaniac would like to know...

Have you ever had a May-December romance in which one partner was much older than the other?

Were you the May (younger) or the December (older) member of the couple?

Homoerotic Moments With Our New Leader

For you Bitches smitten with Canada's new leader, Justin Trudeau, let's take a moment to enjoy a handful of some of his most homoerotic moments.

In a recent appearance on a popular Canadian talk show, our future leader, "JT" as we'll call him, passionately kissed the co-host, Dany Turcotte…

And during a recent televised political leadership debate, our future leader had a slip of the tongue.

JT called Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe "mon amour." JT meant to call the Bloc leader "my friend" — "mon ami" — but JT accidentally told Duceppe that he was his love.

Is there any sport more homoerotic than rugby? JT knows how to handle a ball…

Here we see our future leader erecting the phallic tower of a sandcastle…

Here, JT embraces what appears to be Monsieur Cuir Montréal (Mr. Leather Montréal)...

JT has his own team of Safety Gays!...

And finally, JT performs a striptease for charity…

Depraved Canadians

The nation of Canada is wholly given over to "Sodomite filth."

The infamous Westboro Baptist Church has hatched a brand new hate-based campaign. The picket-happy church is out to protest THE ENTIRE NATION OF CANADA.

Apparently, Canadians are “depraved” (but you Bitches already knew that) and they must be warned about their imminent destruction at the hands of a god that really hates gays – and Canada.

More here.
