LX's Garden Photos

Our next entry in the Seventh Annual Infomaniac Garden Photos Event ( I said event, not competition) is LX.

He's got some 'splainin' to do...

He says, "As I no longer have a yard, or garden, or house plants for that matter, I must submit a garden item from the supermarket.

This year it is cranberry sauce! Just imagine it suggestively giggling inside the can!"

  1. Now I'm craving turkey and pumpkin pie!

I tried to grow Mums from the supermarket twice. Both plants only lasted a month. I should've bought cranberry sauce instead. They'd've lasted longer and I could eat them anytime.

  2. I suppose cranberries count since they ARE a plant.
But, really, you could have taken pictures of someone else's garden and lied!

  3. Who buys FIVE cans of cranberry sauce at once? I'm not sure I've bought five cans of it in my whole life.

    1. There are four more in the fridge. But I thought that might seem to be boastful.

  6. LẌ, do you "no longer have a yard, or garden" because they're overflowing with cranberry sauce cans?

P.S. Very Mistress, how lovely it is to see Justin Trudeau endorsing this event!

  7. Let's just say that the cranberry thing was a co-respondent in a certain legal proceeding and let it go at that.

  8. I am loving this abstract entry!!! I think Mr Lax should win!!!!

  9. What can I say ? Canned sauce giggling in the can in an act of subversive riot against the iron boundaries of the prefab existence the Western society provides for the now tamed and processed berry ? Is the significance evident or too obvious ? Questions remain !
I am in no position to question or critisise this entry for the annual Infomaniac garden event - but wouldn't have a shovel of mulch or two ... ?
Nevertheless, timeless design, neat arrangement, interesting choice of colours, even with national reminiscents (red, blue white), carefully avoiding any green - interesting !

    1. I like to think that the cranberries are giggling to express the sheer joy being released from the can and of having escaped their previous life in the cranberry bog!

And, the pale blue is reminiscent of the packaging label on Miss Scarlet's Codfanglers®!

    2. Obviously my old avatar should be slapped on the can.... By Appointment....
I hereby give the cranberry can the Scarlet Blue warrant.

  14. Well... this makes gardening so much easier. Have you thought about putting together a cookery book using all your garden produce? "Cooking with the lazy Gardiner"...

    1. That's a brilliant idea mate! But being lazy, it would be more of a flyer. That said, I already have the first chapter ready!

    2. I would hesitate to call it easy gardening. Try as I might, I have never been able to plant jellied cranberry cans in the garden and have them ripen to such pulchritudinous abundance! Well done sir!

  16. You simply must buy a bag of cranberries & make your own sauce, it's easy. Helen Keller could even manage it.

    1. You are, of course, correct. However, like Helen, I always manage to burn my fingers when doing so!
