A new shoe has been launched on Kickstarter and The Mistress is not amused...
According to this press release, Floafers combine the good elements of Crocs (comfort, waterproof EVA foam) with classic loafer style, making them shoes that men and women can wear proudly for travel, beach, boating, everything outdoors - and for comfort on the job - at hospitals, restaurants, retail, etc.
The Mistress has no further comment.

But ... but ... it means that you can sweat through yer socks now all the time !
ReplyDeleteThat's better than only part-time, when you wear your crocs !
What's the alternative ? Wrapping plastic bags around yer feet ?
Now you can have it all, in one go !
"wear proudly for travel, beach, boating, everything outdoors" Hell, I wouldn't even wear them in my coffin to be cremated.
ReplyDeleteGood girl -those suckers would peobably add to the pollution.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the pic of these further atrocities a little bit of sick came to the back of my throat.
I'm off to order three or four pair RIGHT NOW. Do you think they come in teal? Cause my adult diaper has a teal band and I'd love for them to match cause I'm all about matchy macth. And think how great it will be to come home from work and kick off your work Floafers and put on your TV Floafers, unless you're going out for a big night on the town and then you'd need your formal floafers.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the world wonderful?
Mother of Jefferson Davis, what in hell pill case did you get onto tonight?
DeleteI'm breaking my "no further comment" comment to ask Peenee the same question.
Deletep.s. Let's face it. Floafers are preppy Crocs.
A man with such nice racks may everything forgiven !
DeleteArg! Burn them! Burn them with fire!!!
ReplyDeleteBlast! Forgot the link.
DeleteWhat healthcare or restaurant worker would wear shoes that expose one to the sharp, hot, or other dangerous hazards on the job? Spills happen in hospitals and restaurants--and some of those spills are toxic, infectious, or just unsanitary...Having worked in hospitals and restaurants in the past, I recommend wearing combat boots!
ReplyDeletehow odd that the press release
ReplyDeletementioned nothing about how ugly they are.
How are they waterproof when they have holes in them? They would be useless in a snow storm, or a flooding situation, or a cow pat scenario. I will stick with my thigh length rubber wellies.
