I have just returned from doing the right thing. The lines were long but I'm hopeful Clinton wins. Among the state & local races, I had voted for several Democrats in some offices & a few Republicans in others--I look at qualifications & actions, particularly in state courts & state representatives & Senators. I did vote for one Libertarian for judgeship, because the other three candidates sucked! Sorry, Green party, but no votes for you this year--what do you even stand for? Environment? Veggies? Cash money? Seriously, do ya'll have a platform of some sort?
I haven't felt this stressed out since the disastrous 2000 Presidential election between G.W. Bush vs Al Gore, when Al Gore won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote, making Bush the President--after all those election irregularities & court involvement.
As hard as it is to accept, the people voted for this direction, & I've got to stay strong & work through this, always with the goal to defend the ideals of liberty, freedom, & justice for all. It's always the hardest to get up right after a fall, but it's important to keep trying & get back up. I'm buckling down for four years of a rough, bumpy ride. Here's to hoping for the best & preparing for the worst.
Just in case, is there room in The Mistress' basement for one refugee and two cats? I'm asking for "a friend."
