On Thursday, Scottish voters will flock to the polls to answer "yes" or "no" to this question: Should Scotland be an independent country?
[via]
If Scotland votes "Yes," the United Kingdom will split and the Scots will go their own way.
A Brit who ordered a bucket of KFC, pulled out this piece of chicken (pictured below,) and declared that it looks like a map of England and Wales without Scotland...
They say that breaking up is hard to do...

ReplyDeleteIt seems that, according to KFC, Norfolk (and Suffolk) have also left the UK for pastures new.
ReplyDeleteAh, well, I'm only 32% Scottish anyway, so what do I care?!
when a wee lad, i worked at a KFC for one day. they seemed to make it a point to drop the chicken on the floor, pick it up & cook it!
ReplyDeletebe careful scotties.
I'm not Scottish, but I did have some in me once or twice.
ReplyDeleteMe too - talk about a battered sausage! Jx
DeleteMine looked rather over cooked.
DeleteI think Land's End has been nibbled... or is that the result of a big wind?

I think that is Knudsen in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteThis fried tumor could easily be seen as resembling a handgun - I doubt that reading the future out of fried dead animal parts is of any use, guess it would be counted under Pyromantie, or perhaps Aeromantie, because of the involvement of a hypothetical chicken part - in fact nobody knows what really is under that crust.
I'm really flitzegespannt what will come out of the referendum. As I understand the Scots are simply fed up with being handled by Westminster like the dumb cousins from behind the hills, and a lot of that money from the Northern Sea oil fields seemingly does not arrive in Edinburgh. How true all this may be or not, tomorrow we will know what the wild inhabitants of the mountains want.
I'm sick of referendums.....
ReplyDeleteWell, he does look thrifty.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite Scots, Alan Cumming, has spoken out in favour of “Yes.”
ReplyDeleteWhatever the outcome, eectoral officials have said they are expecting record numbers at the polling stations.
That should say "electoral"...
ReplyDelete*makes note to press "preview" next time*
I don't want them to go. This is a gut view... purely selfish... the UK would look short and fat without them.
ReplyDeleteThere, I've said it.
Sx
In that case, it would be slimming if Wales went as well!
Deletelet's not throw the welsh
Deletecorgis out with the bathwater!
Quite. One mustn't!
DeleteI'm Welsh, and I don't even think they need an assembly, let alone independence. As for the Scots? I, like Mr Device, just want it to end. Bored now. If they want to exit the Land of Hope and Glory, that's their problem... Jx
DeleteI liked Lulu's drawing.... where we all left London on its own.

What time do the polls close?
ReplyDeleteI think they close at 10pm... I will probably stay up for a bit tonight.
ReplyDeleteSx
I'm pouring a glass of single malt and hoping I can stay awake for it.
ReplyDeleteThey said "naw" or "nae" depending on your accent.
ReplyDelete...or ocky- nocky-nooooooooooo-ooh.
