Forza Azzurri! Forza Azzurri! Forza Azzurri!
Italy wins!
Italy beat France 5-3 today in a penalty shoot-out to win the FIFA World Cup 2006 after a 1-1 draw in Berlin.
Golden boy Fabio Grosso scored the winning goal
“Il Capitano” Fabio Cannavaro lifts the World Cup
Cheers to all you France supporters for a great game.
I’m running off now to celebrate the Italian victory.

mj I have been waiting for you to serve Humble Pie so here I am.
ReplyDeleteWhile it is not surprising that the EYEtaleeans beat FRANTS in the Final it was distressing that they had to goad Zizou into a match misconduct to do it. I'm sure that your hubby is as dismayed as I am. Atleast I don't have to watch you dance around the room singing NEENER!
Penalty Kicks is no way to decide an event of this magnitude.
OK I'll bend over quietly now and take one for the team. OOUUCH!
yipeeee 2nd

ReplyDelete~D: My favourite part of the World Cup is watching the celebrations that follow and the deliriously happy looks on their faces.
ReplyDeleteHa ha. I 've never seen so many men hugging and touching and kissing! It made me hawt! This is probably why this sport is not played much in the U.S. unfortunately.
ReplyDeletePrunella: That's my other favourite part of the World Cup.
