    1. MELANIE: Did you bring your flask?

    2. Yes, it's filled with white rum. My grandparents had a speakeasy hidden behind a false wall with a beautiful full bar in the basement. I used to love playing bartender behind it as a kid, many years later of course, I'm not that old!

    3. MELANIE: A speakeasy? How exciting! What’s the password?

    4. Sadly the grandparents are long passed and a Police Officer bought the house last I had heard. Honestly with a good scrubbing and some appropriate curtains it could have made a perfect sex dungeon for those that are into such things. Too bad none of us had thought to take a picture of the bar before our family sold it. :(

    5. MELANIE: Sex dungeon? Have you visited our Oubliette?

    6. So many places to explore around here! I love it! I think I would prefer a trap door to the oubliette than one that finds me Shanghaied! These West coast port cities are dangerous, you should make nice with the bartender, they'll send drunks through trapdoors to the tunnels underneath where you find yourself in a holding cell until they put you on a ship to work your way to China. I should make a note to write a post about it. It's one of my favorite Seattle historical stories.

    7. Melanie: I’ve been underground in Seattle but nobody offered me a drink.

Could you please tell me the name of your blog? Blogger doesn’t show it on your Profile.

    8. Certainly! My blog is all prim and proper, but my alter ego would like her own blog too. Alas, I cannot manufacture more time though and I do try so hard to remain focused. https://www.nature-led.org

    9. The Mistress will visit you later this week, Miss Melanie. I shall try not to sully your abode.

    10. I admire your audacity to be so bold. You be you and if anyone doesn't like it they can go huff on their lavender-scented smelling salts!

    11. Thank you, Miss Melanie. I still haven't popped 'round but will be by, by and by.

    3. NORMA: It was January, 2020 for me. Around the same time as my last haircut.

    4. Wish you were closer. I've been working in my very own private suite which I scrub between clients. It's worked quite well and NO COVID!

    5. Norma, I just remembered that my last haircut was in October, 2019. I was overdue for a cut and was planning an appointment when COVID struck. My hair, which at that time was just sweeping the tops of my shoulders is now half-way down my back. I wish you were closer, too but I fear close contact with almost everyone at this point.

    6. I understand. I do hope that you're enjoying your "down the back" hair! ♥️
