VICTORIA. Tonight on PBS.
If you've forgotten what I'm talking about, click here.
Don't ask me what time. Consult a TV Guide, Bitches.
And don't blame me if you don't enjoy it as much as Downton Abbey but it's all we've got until the next Downton Abbey comes along. Having said that, it's good viewing pleasure, nonetheless.
And of all nights... I have a party to be at. I have been waiting for this show too. It will be viewed tomorrow while I'm nursing a hang over, on our On demand.
ReplyDeleteit's right after "sherlock" so i'll be watching! xoxo
ReplyDeleteDrat! I thought this was a reminder for series two!
ReplyDelete*sulks while listening to the "Coronation theme*
so, we've already seen it?
ReplyDeleteof course i will watch it, but bemoan the prettification of her highness & parts of the story.
yes, norma will get over it.
I hope Albert is depicted as the Coburgian stallion he was.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to Norma's question, yes, The Mistress saw Series One several months ago, broadcast from Britain into her living room. Don't ask me how. The technology baffles me.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I recommend it until the next Downton Abbey comes along.
Apparently "the next Downton Abbey" is The Halcyon. I dunno, I haven't seen it. Nor Victoria. Nor... yadda yadda yadda... Jx
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Jon.
DeleteDVR is poised..
ReplyDeletehas anyone seen, "a place called home." it's australian, available on netflix. if you have, is it any good?
ReplyDeleteJust Googled it, Norma and the reviews sound promising.
DeleteI, too, would like to know the opinion of anyone who's seen "A Place Called Home."
A Downton Abbey film is in the pipeline apparently, something to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteMITZI: Good news! Thank you.
Deletelast month, purely by accident, i came upon a downton abbey pop-up store at the mall of america. they have "mini-tours" of the costumes. i didn't take the tour, but did peruse the downton chachkahs. the clerk tipped me off to the upcoming film. seems the relationship between the dowager & the russian will be examined in flash back.
ReplyDeleteand though i've heard nothing recently, isn't julian fellowes working on an american downton, "the gilded age"?
NORMA: *commences Googling and confirms Julian Fellowes’ “The Gilded Age” project.
DeleteMore good news!
p.s. The Mistress can't get enough of The Dowager.
