Thanks to Norma asking about "whorticulturists" in the comments of our previous post, we thought this might be a good time, being that it's supposedly spring, to pose the following question:
(click pic to enlarge)
Do you Bitches want to participate in another annual Garden Photos Event later this year?
YES!!
ReplyDeleteI think it was Dorothy Parker who said: You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her read.
Sx
Will you be submitting a photo of your bullocks again this year, Miss Scarlet?
DeleteI do believe the line from the estimable Ms Parkier is "You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think!"
DeleteTrust a friend of Dorothy to get that right.
DeleteThank you, Toper! I knew it was something like that.

Last night, I did one of those ridiculous quizzes on Facebook "Which Wizard of Oz character are you" and I am Dorothy which makes the Mistress' comments all the more appropriate and yet, eerie.
DeleteTOPHER: We here at Infomaniac have crystal balls.
DeleteSo that's where they went. I've been looking high and low for them!
DeleteAnd in answer to the horticulture question: Yes!
MR. DeVICE: Well, that means you have to stick around 'til the end of summer to submit your photos.
DeleteI have a garden now... and the previous owners knew how to garden! So I will take some pictures before I kill it all.

i do hope you've included that
ReplyDeletelittle packet of powder with this
arrangement. pity to let them wilt
too quickly.
(contest away dear!)
Mistress MJ is never without her little packet of powder.
DeleteHmmm... a (w)hole new perspective on blossoming rosebuds; can't help but admire an innovative florist.
ReplyDeleteTOMASS: Perhaps you’d be interested in something a bit more tasteful.
DeleteYikes. I think I'll stick to the back garden.
DeleteTOMASS: Rumour has it that you’ve had a lot of things stuck in your “back garden.”
DeleteFlowers are showy, but vegetables seem more fitting.
DeleteTOMASS: Care for a cuke?
DeleteYa know, a fancy vase would take up less room amd be less Lilly to "fahrt".
ReplyDeleteGood point, COOKIE.
DeleteThe centrepiece must never block the guests' view.
"My name is Jon, and I am a whorticulturist!" And yes, of course I'd love to take part in your garden "show and tell"... Jx
ReplyDeleteJON: Your English garden is a thing of beauty, sure to delight us all.
DeleteHow about a shot of you and your Missus tiptoeing through the tulips?
Of course... Jx
DeleteJON: Just last year I discovered the joys of Hinge and Bracket and I ordered the complete boxed set!
DeleteI've become a "Dear Ladies" fan, albeit late to the plate.
They are - or were, there's only "Doctor Evadne" left - marvellous, and, inevitably firm favourites here at Dolores Delargo Towers... Jx
DeleteYes, please do. Did I win yet?
ReplyDeleteLX: Here is your prize, in advance.
DeleteMartha would be so proud....
ReplyDeleteWALLY: It’s a good thing.
DeleteGROUCHY: I’ll take that as a yes.
